Round robin sports involve a team playing a series of games against other teams. Typically, each team will play three or four games in round robin competition, and the results of these games will determine the teams to compete in Finals. Where possible, each section will be divided into pools of equal numbers of teams. Each team in each group would play all other teams in the same pool and, for example, the top two teams from each group would advance to the Semi-Finals.
If a section of any round robin sport has more than twenty teams competing, that section will be divided into two (or more) separate competitions, each of which will be conducted independently, with its own finals, medals and points scored. Where possible, teams will be directed into sections containing other teams from the same overall division of State Youth Games (ie. Small Churches vs. Small Churches; Medium Churches vs. Medium Churches; etc.)
